FAQ > Shrub Bed Maintenance:
To keep a property looking manicured it is imperative to keep shrub beds weed free and edged. By applying mulch and weed preventative you are preventing over 50% of the weed seeds from germinating. Those weed seeds that manage to survive need to be pulled by hand or sprayed with a liquid herbicide. A spring shrub bed pre-emergent and fall shrub bed pre-emergent should be applied every year.
The pre-emergent will not eliminate all weeds, however it significantly helps reduce the labor needed to rid the beds of weeds
